About these terms

These terms describe the general approach TraceTech uses for technology repair, diagnostics, electronics work and related support. They apply alongside any specific quote, written agreement or arrangement confirmed for a job.

Assessment, quotes and approval

An enquiry or initial discussion does not guarantee a repair outcome, time frame or final price. Devices may need assessment before TraceTech can confirm the scope of work, parts required or a practical recommendation.

TraceTech will discuss the proposed work and any relevant costs before beginning chargeable repair, upgrade or project work.

Device condition and data

Electronic devices can have faults, liquid damage, prior repairs or other issues that are not visible during an initial inspection. Further testing may identify additional work or change the suitable repair approach.

Customers should back up important data where possible before providing a device. Data recovery and preservation can involve risk, and recovery of data cannot be guaranteed.

Parts and time frames

Parts availability, supplier delays, device condition and testing requirements can affect a repair time frame. If a material change to the agreed work becomes necessary, TraceTech will discuss the next step with you.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumer guarantees may apply to goods and services supplied by TraceTech.
